The following are pictures of 345 kV transmission poles. The pole height will be 120 feet tall. Compare that height to a typical parking lot light pole, which stands 30 feet tall.
The circumference at the base of the poles is several feet. There will be three conductors carried from pole to pole. So, if the route runs through your community, you may not have a pole placed on your property, but you will likely have three cables strung approximately 100 feet in the air within your sights.
