Public Comments

The Middleton Chamber of Commerce, a 500+ member business organization, would like to publicly voice its support for a Beltline underground alternative for the proposed ATC Rockdale to West Middleton Transmission Line Project. The Middleton Chamber of Commerce understands the need for the transmission line, but does not believe overhead lines are in the best interest of the community and region, or cost effective over the life of the lines. By placing these lines underground along the Beltline Highway (Hwy 12/14), ATC would be properly and prudently addressing the safety, aesthetic, environmental, property value and cost concerns related to this project.
